Lots of intensity in these words, Lisa. Each stanza builds the emotion. I like this one and can FEEL it!
Thank you Mary. It was only recently that I actually heard some of Amy Winehouse's music, she was such a talented singer, so sad she died so young.
def can feel this one Lisa...that breaking in the end...whew..so which is your new blog?
Thank you Brian, decided to discontinue the wordpress blog.
Ah this was very intense :-)
Thanks for your comment Bjorn.
This is heart-breaking and tragic and I definitely felt this one!
Thank you. I was listening to her sing with Tony Bennett, her voice gives me chills and for the world to lose such a talented person is such a tragedy.
...ah, that ending lines sing the saddest note here... too infant of life to settle in a sleep of forever... sadly...
Thank you for your comment, always appreciate hearing from you.
music can def. touch us on a raw and emotional level
Her voice was so intense, filled with emotion, just loved it.
Your ending just got me--really felt this
Thank you Audrey.
Yeah - I could hear her voice. So sad it's stilled - she had a vigorous joy giving voice with which to sing the blues. This is a true blues. The thing about them is you can just groove on one line until it becomes part of your DNA. Well done. I don't see many of these. I wrote one too today - engaging Adele (sort of). Thanks.
So sad many never heard the power of her voice, a terrible loss. Adele has a very emotionally moving voice, I did a painting of her back in the spring while listening to her cd.Thank you for your comment.
What aches and hurts she carried ~ Really powerful piece Lisa ~
Thank you Heaven.
This was intense and sad...
Yes, it's a horrible place to be. Beautifully expressed.
Thank you Laurie.
Oh these words so resonate with me....."too much pain for one voice to carry". Wow, kiddo! Stellar!
Thank you Sherry.
Doesn't it seem like those "old souls" pass away early in life so often? She definitely was unique. Very cool piece Lisa.
It does seem they do pass away young, for some it must be just too much to try and handle all that emotion. Thank you Jennifer.
I love your strong start: "Old soul aching." The title draws me in too. Compact and poignant poem.
Thank you Janet.
She did have such great talent. It's a real shame she's gone so young. This is an excellent tribute to her!
