Fall
You arrive-
with a different air
Your fiery hue
arrogantly reminds
that even in dying
there is beauty.
Time to put away
those soft floating dreams,
settle down into the warmth
of remembrance-
Knowing they will return
with a new season which
has aged the wisdom from
which they were born.
aging the wisdom from which they were born...i love this..

DeleteEven in dying there is beauty... a very true line.. and can probably be used as a metaphor as well... but it's also preparing for a rebirth
ReplyDeleteThank you Bjorn.
DeleteLisa this is so gorgeous I agree with Björn that line really struck me as well, amazing =)

DeleteYou have explored many facets of autumn here. I like the idea of settling down to the warmth of remembrance....especially if there is fireplace involved. Smiles.

Delete"Even in dying there is beauty." Truer words were never spoken about my favorite season. Lovely take on autumn's glory. This was more personal than many I encountered today, don't know where the "fall" prompt came from, but I'm sure to find out! Peace, Amy
ReplyDeleteThank you Amy.
