Redemption (for deverse-In Haphazard Fashion)

Shadow cast
in the luminous flicker
of a feigned smile.

How the voice coils
in retreat, waiting on
itself for a carefully
chosen word-

In hopes of warding off
the pernicious warmth
of a lie told to bar entry
beyond the door

where all I have hidden
waits for redemption.

  1. its a tough place...between hope of redemption...of what could come if only the hidden were out...and the dangerous reality of what might happen as well when it does...nice write lisa

chosen word- very powerful... like when you're at a loss for words, or don't have the words to say exactly how you feel..

Great word craft Lisa! That is true! One often times get on the wrong foot and has to retreat and think before responding with damage control.
