Reflections

Reflections
By
Lisa A. Williams

Women-
images
cast in glass
white satin and lace.

Farewells to a child
who was sheer joy
in her  love,
unadulterated by time-
seeing
the pureness of you.

Glimpsing reflections
as you try to let go.
The warmth
of her small hand in yours
 still lingers.

  5. Awe....a poem that will make me cry if I let it. This growing and changing of our little ones has been weighing heavy on me lately. : ( It happens too quickly.

  8. Oh, this is so touching. I empathize with this poem as I hold my granddaughter's hand.....and wish time would not pass so soon.
