Falling Star
By
Lisa A.Williams
Newborn-
cradled in the sky,
where wishes
cast a wanting.
Expelled
from an ancient galaxy-
shining clear
untainted
by world.
Wise in your pureness
seeing beyond shadows,
plummeting
to your dark death,
taking our wishes
with you-
where they are
scattered
in the marrow of earth
to be reborn.
Lisa this is an absolutely stunning poem, I love it!
ReplyDeleteBrilliance... in the stars fall, in the rebirth, but mostly in the writing, the creation, the idea.
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteYou painted a wonderful image with your words. Loved 'where they are scattered into the marrow of the earth to be reborn.'....Fantastic:)

There is a real sadness here yet a hope for the new, the reborn. "taking our wishes with you" I like that!
ReplyDeleteLove the wisdom you have expressed in this poem!
ReplyDeletePowerful, reborn to grant the wishes and hopes of all. Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI agree, brilliant in every aspect!
ReplyDeleteI fully appreciate the notion of the continuity of life, from the smallest to most immense.
ReplyDeleteWow, a falling star though is dying but will make our wishes true....reborn like phoenix...
