Horizon

Horizon
By
Lisa A.Williams

I look out,
 onward
to where earth meets sky
spectrum of
rainbows
holding promise
of “gold”
never enough to fill
our pockets
so fleeting
in its ethereal haze
leaving us
always
                                                                     in want of more

  1. To me this poem shows(hu)man's desire to explore....not only his/her known world but the world beyond...more, more knowledge.

  4. As Frost so aptly put it...nothing gold can stay. I like the way this takes me there, making me continue to seek the gold that isn't found at rainbow's end. Good write!

  5. I suppose the greatest challenge is to see the beauty in the horizon and know that it is enough.

  6. 'always in want of more'...it's a human epidemic isn't it? Oh but to just enjoy the rainbow on the horizon. Great write Lisa, as usual!
