My Mother's Eyes
Blue communion
of
restless sea
and silent sky
an undertow of illness
behind those stormy eyes.
Stone
between us
always-
dark catatonia
kept you hidden.
Always I wonder
who you were,
always I wonder
what parts of me
are you?
