The Well
By
Lisa A.Williams
The well-
so deep as I peered into the
fathoms of remembrance,
embraced in a turbulent tide
an undertow of need carrying
me to distant shores.
I released anchors,
rising to the surface,
bathed in the pureness
of being all I could be-
Realizing
I had been drowning in
waters of denial.
hummmm....safety, security...saved from drowning...nice one!
